Horse Transport

All bookings will be made taking into account the following conditions and will apply in all circumstances. In a confirmed reservation it will be agreed that the customer will always comply with all the terms and conditions described.

Both horse, equipment and material will be under the responsibility of the owner, and the horses must be insured by the owner.

All additional veterinary and horse accommodation expenses are paid by the owner. If, in our opinion, the horse requires urgent veterinary care during the journey and the owner is not contactable, one of our veterinarians will be contacted, however the owner will be responsible for all veterinary or emergency expenses incurred.

It is the responsibility of the consignor to prepare the horse properly for the trip. The decision and responsibility rests entirely with the owner if the horse is transported with protections (fore and hind limbs, tail, etc.). GM Equestrian and its employees will take into account all necessary precautions for a safe and comfortable journey, however the owner will be responsible for any damage inflicted on or by his horse.

Damage caused to trucks will be the responsibility of the horse owner and the costs of repairs will be borne by the owner.

If it is not possible to load the horse due to poor handling, failure of the dispatcher to appear, etc. , and the transport does not take place, the owner will be charged with a cancellation fine of between 50 and 100% of the budget value, depending on the circumstances

We reserve the right to deny the continuation of a transport, even with the horse loaded or during the journey, if we believe that the transport will not be carried out in complete safety or if it puts the horse, the truck or our employees at risk, and a fine cancellation policy will apply. For this reason, if it is necessary to unload the horse before the final destination, the owner will be responsible for paying accommodation and veterinary costs. You will also be responsible for coordinating new transport.

Prices and quotes are quoted based on the information given by the customer at the time of booking, if the information is incorrect or changes, and as such results in an increase in travel time or mileage it may result in an increase in expense.

Extra waiting time for loading or unloading will be charged at €15 every half hour.

Our trucks are prepared to carry up to a certain amount of material and equipment per horse. All contents will be the responsibility and must be insured by the owner. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of transported material. If the quantity of material exceeds the established space, we may provide additional space for which a separate charge will be made.

Cancellations made 24 hours before loading will be penalized with 50% of the budget amount. If cancellation is made less than 12 hours before loading, the quote will be charged in full.

To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit will be requested and the remainder will have to be paid at the time of loading. Payments can be made by bank transfer (proof required), MB WAY or cash.
